Some modern washers with a digital display may show a fault code as well. The door latch can fail either mechanically or electrically. Don t stand for this kind of appliance misbehavior. Perhaps your washing machine is vibrating during spin cycles or making noises during wash cycles.

Remove the back panel of your maytag washer and locate the drive belt to see if it s on the pulley system. If low spin or no spin was selected the washer may not remove enough water from the load. However if the belt is otherwise frayed damaged or broken it needs replacement. To remove extra water in the load select drain spin.

When the door lock fails it may not lock the door or the door lock switch might not engage and therefore not recognize that the door is locked and not allow the washer to agitate or spin.
