I have had a masterlock 175 for years.
Is there a way to do this without the key.
Insert the special key into the keyhole in the side of the master lock 175 combination lock and push the key all the way in.
I can open it but i lost the rest key that these things come with.
If the lock is not going to used again then simply cutting its shackle with bolt cutter will work.
A master lock 175 is a basic shackled combination lock.
With dials at 0 0 0 0 pull out the shackle.

The main benefit from purchasing a 176 is that it has a control key override just in case you don t have the combination.
